Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brandon Lee!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Inter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lee misses with a body shot.
Inter throws a hook to the side of Lee's head but Lee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lee shoots in and bounces Inter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Inter is on top in guard.
Inter postures up in Lee's guard and throws a big left but Lee blocks it.
Inter throwing strikes but missing.
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Inter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Inter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Inter trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Inter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Lee is trying to keep Inter in close.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Inter from controlling successfully.
Inter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Inter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lee for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Primus Inter wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Inter misses with an uppercut
and Lee counters with a leg kick.
Lee moves to clinch but Inter breaks away
and Inter counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Lee badly! Inter follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Lee out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Inter finished him against the cage.

Our winner, Primus Inter, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Slice bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Valentin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Slice landing strikes.
Slice lands some shots froms side control.

Valentin takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Abdullah Slice was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

York kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I'm not afraid. Drascoe has chosen Pull Me Back To Earth as his entrance music. Stevens York had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Darwin Drascoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Drascoe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from York. Drascoe does a little dance to reset his feet.

Rock reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rock taps out! Nice BJJ there by Smith!
