Shimazu darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Arlovski is in trouble now - Shimazu has advanced to mount!

A big left from McGee misses.
McGee works the jab nicely.
McGee dives in and grabs Lanz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lanz pushes down on McGee's head and hops out.
Lanz staying out of range there.
McGee misses with a lunging right hand
and Lanz counters with a two punch combo.
McGee swinging wildly here.
McGee shoots for a double leg takedown but Lanz sprawls well. He's pushed McGee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
McGee throws a series of punches but Lanz avoids them all with ease.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McGee throws a hook but Lanz avoids it easily.
McGee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lanz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McGee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lanz manages to avoid it.

Lanz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
McGee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lanz defends it nicely.
Thomas Lanz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thumper McGee.

It looks like Thumper McGee has been cut.
McGee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lanz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McGee.
Lanz digs a good body shot into McGee's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lanz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McGee has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
No joy there for Lanz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lanz tries to bum rush McGee with a series of wild strikes but McGee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

McGee rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Lanz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McGee's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McGee tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lanz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Lanz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McGee is proving hard to escape from.
Lanz throws a big elbow that misses.
Lanz wants to stand and escape but instead McGee has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Lanz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McGee is controlling him.

Lanz uses the cage to get back to his feet.
McGee should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
McGee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lanz is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

McGee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McGee lands with a kick to the temple. Lanz shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Lanz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McGee throws out the jab.

Lanz drops McGee with a straight right hand, right on the button! Lanz follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

The fight stays on the outside here - Duseki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Duseki really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Duseki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Munanaposa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Munanaposa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
