A frustrated look appears on Rua's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Water keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rua's efforts to push away.

Rua avoids the elbow strike from Water, against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Water lands an elbow that stopped Rua in his tracks for a moment.

Jake Rua's cut is getting worse.
Water gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Jake Rua's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Water throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Oh Rua is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Water lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Jeez, Jake Rua's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Water has Rua pressed against the cage. He pushes Rua back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Water throws a beautiful elbow that sends Rua crashing to the floor! Water piles on the pressure with more strikes! Rua is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sid Water!
Sid Water decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
