The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Khan.
Khan lands a few punches from side control.

Khan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Khan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Khan content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reijkard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Khan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Khan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Reijkard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground.

Khan has control of Reijkard's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Reijkard regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Khan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reijkard to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reijkard shrugs it off.
Khan lands with some strikes.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Van Deinsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcello Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Deinsen comes into the arena with Bonafide - Dirtbound blaring out of the sound system. Marcello Garza struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Haze Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Datsik engages and cracks Saez with a massive lead left hook - Saez tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Datsik is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
