Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Estefan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masayuki Kumon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Foo Fighters- My Hero. Masayuki Kumon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walters swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kyle Walters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walters scores with a head kick. PerseiEight tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

PerseiEight pushes Walters up against the cage in a clinch.
Walters is struggling to control the position.

PerseiEight's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Walters looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

PerseiEight forces Walters back against the cage and clinches.
PerseiEight landing some nice looking knees to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walters tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Walters wants to stand and escape but PerseiEight is having none of it.

PerseiEight stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

PerseiEight explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Walters is still on wobbly legs! Can PerseiEight finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick by PerseiEight - that's a beauty! Walters is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even PerseiEight can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Rampage stuffs the takedown.
Tao ducks right into an uppercut from Rampage.
Tao shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rampage sprawls well. Rampage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tao gets slowly back to his feet.
Rampage throws a right hand that Tao ducks under and follows up with a left that Tao also avoids with ease.
Tao tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rampage paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tao takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rampage lands with a right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed right hand from Tao misses the target.
Tao tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rampage manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Rampage as Tao shoots in.
Quinton Rampage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Long Tao.
Rampage paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rampage swats away the attempt to clinch by Tao.
Tao is looking to clinch.
Rampage uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tao.
Tao tries to clinch up.
Rampage misses with a two punch combination.
Tao takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Rampage lands a really nice looking cross but Tao seems unphased.
Rampage scores with a punch to the head.
Tao tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rampage paws at him with a jab and circles away.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Rampage has cracked Tao with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Rampage lands another huge swinging hook and Tao tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Tao, before Rampage can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Quinton Rampage!
A pretty intense looking Quinton Rampage took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
