The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloan throws an overhand right that lands on Matusow's shoulder, as Matusow tries to avoid the shot.
Matusow swings away with a leg kick that misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sloan.
Sloan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Matusow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sloan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cruz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Relvas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ward is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Seed to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Seed shrugs it off.
Seed tries to hold on but Ward pushes him away.

Ward goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Seed turns into him and now he's in Ward's guard.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Abate gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Abate apologises and we restart here on the feet.
