That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jarek Glaz.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simunic closes the distance and pushes Renga back into the cage.
Renga is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Simunic to keep the fight standing.
Renga jumps guard but Simunic stands there with Renga around his waist. Renga gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Renga is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Simunic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Renga throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Simunic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Renga.
Renga fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Renga swings widly with a right hand

and Simunic counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Simunic would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Renga has his foot on Simunic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Simunic works his way back into a safe position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Simunic avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Renga had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Simunic defends it easily.

Renga is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Simunic wants to get up but he can't break Renga's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Simunic is sitting in close to Renga's body. Renga has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Simunic is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Simunic is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Renga.
