Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giret Dayz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Hontai! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dayz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hontai stuffs the takedown attempt from Dayz. Dayz gets slowly back to his feet. Dayz tries to clinch but Hontai is having none of it.
Hontai closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hontai is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Dayz trying to control but Hontai postures up.
Hontai is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hontai seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dayz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dayz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

 OK we're going to have a standup here. Jordan Hontai hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hontai throws a body kick that misses. Dayz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hontai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dayz swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dayz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Nice takedown defense from Hontai. No joy for Dayz on that attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hontai is defended easily by Dayz. Dayz doesn't succeed with the takedown

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Blood. Brave does a little dance to reset his feet. Brave will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Blood swings away with a leg kick that misses. Brave moves in looking to clinch but Blood pushes him off. Brave shoots in looking for a takedown. Blood tries to sprawl out of it but Brave keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Blood getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hines throws the left hand but Fialho avoids the punch easily. Fialho takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
 It looks like Helio Fialho has been cut. Hines throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fialho counters by clinching up. Hines swings wildly with an uppercut but Fialho uses good head movement to avoid it. Fialho is looking for a takedown. Hines misses with the head strike.

Fialho turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fialho manages to end up in side control.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Hines is trying to improve his position. Hines on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Hines really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fialho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hines trying to control but Fialho flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Hines tries to break free.
Fialho is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hines defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gravus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moody, pushing him back against the cage. Moody is looking to take this one to the mat. Moody letting Gravus take a breather here. Gravus wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Moody has him pressed against the cage. Moody is trying to break the clinch but Gravus has him pressed against the cage. Gravus is looking to take this one to the mat. Hank Moody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Gravus. Moody is looking to take a break and control but Gravus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Moody has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gravus!

BOOM! Moody connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gravus is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moody sees it coming and defends easily. Gravus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Moody feints and as Gravus raises his hands in defense, Moody changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Moody cracks Gravus with a solid left hand. Gravus is trying to control the position but Moody postures up. Moody forces his way into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ground and pound from Moody. Gravus is trying to maintain the position but Moody is very close to passing his half guard. Moody working the head and body with strikes. Gravus pushes Moody off looking to stand but Moody dives back in and keeps control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Moody is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight� I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza� Yum. Can't wait.
Moody decides to return to a standing position. Moody shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gravus but Gravus pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gravus misses with a straight right. Gravus shoots in for a double leg but Moody sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hank Moody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Gravus.
Moody dives in and scores a takedown into Gravus's guard. Moody keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gravus's head. Moody prevents Gravus from getting back to his feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Moody is pushing down on Gravus's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gravus is fighting to maintain full guard but Moody has managed to sneak the leg through. Moody content to control rather than advance. Gravus has hold of Moody's hands but Moody slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. This has been an exciting period of action!
