The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marella avoids the head kick by Le.
Marella throws a leg kick but Le moved away.
Le displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marella.
Le rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marella moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Le pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Marella back to the cage. Le follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Santino Marella has been cut.
Marella shoots in looking for a takedown but Le manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marella's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Le darts in and clinches Marella up against the cage.
Le lands a left hand.
Le with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Le stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Le could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Marella looks winded!

Marella seems to have recovered his senses.

Le's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Le lands with a kick to the ribs.
Le punishes Marella's body with a nice straight punch.
Le thuds his shin into the meat of Marella's side.
Le throws a sloppy head kick and Marella moves out of range easily.

Le lands a left hand.
Le lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Le softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Le.
Le using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Marella has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Le dips a shoulder and cracks Marella with a mighty uppercut! Marella falls back against the cage and Le unloads with a barrage of strikes! Marella is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Le screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Lesnar feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hunt sprawling to the canvas! Hunt rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lesnar finish him?!

Lesnar turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lesnar manages to end up in side control.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Suck with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Staunton to score with a decent uppercut.

Staunton misses with a takedown attempt - Suck sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
