The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lucas fakes the leg kick and cracks Rivers in the body.
Lucas shoots for a double leg takedown but Rivers sprawls well. He's pushed Lucas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rivers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lucas throws a half hearted mid kick.
Rivers throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Lemay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
