Williams batters Byrkjelo with a massive right followed by a huge left! Byrkjelo is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Williams lands a final crushing right hand to drop Byrkjelo to the mat with a gruesome thud! Williams is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Zyuzin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Zyuzin taps out! Nice BJJ there by Fury!

It looks like Key Chain has been cut.
A head kick by Takaraivo - that's a beauty! Chain is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Takaraivo can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Rambo Kalervo Kukkonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eddie Torrez!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kukkonen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sloppy strikes from Torrez. Those never looked like landing.
Kukkonen just misses with a punch to the body.
Torrez takes a swing at Kukkonen's ribcage but misses.
Nice defenses there by Kukkonen.
Torrez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kukkonen.
Torrez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Torrez throws a leg kick but Kukkonen checks it.
Nice defenses there by Torrez.
Kukkonen misses with a wild body shot.
Torrez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kukkonen.

Kukkonen moves into the clinch.
Kukkonen misses with a hook from the clinch.
Kukkonen lands a nice uppercut.
Torrez is trying to maintain a safe position but Kukkonen gets an underhook and turns Torrez into the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Torrez tries a body shot but Kukkonen blocks it.
Torrez blocks an uppercut.
Torrez misses with a short punch on the inside.
Torrez is pressed up against the cage. Kukkonen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Torrez down to the mat. Torrez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A slow jab from Kukkonen misses its intended target.
Kukkonen thuds his right hand into Torrez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kukkonen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Torrez was well out of range. Poor timing from Kukkonen.
Torrez lands with a nice combination. Kukkonen backs away looking to recover.
Torrez misses with the combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kukkonen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Torrez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kukkonen's head backwards.

Kukkonen is rocked!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kukkonen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rambo Kalervo Kukkonen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Torrez throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kukkonen counters with a nice leg kick.
Kukkonen thows a body shot but no joy.
Rambo Kalervo Kukkonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torrez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Torrez misses with a straight right.
Kukkonen lands a jab to the head.
Torrez cracks Kukkonen on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kukkonen falls backwards against the cage. Torrez follows up with more strikes that drop Kukkonen to his knees. Torrez keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kukkonen! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Torrez!
An out of breath Eddie Torrez thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
