The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Payne is defended easily by Dodson.
Payne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dodson sprawls well. Dodson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Payne gets slowly back to his feet.
Payne shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dodson defends it nicely.
John Dodson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Payne.
