The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Correia tries to clinch there but Rodellega circles away.

Correia darts in and clinches Rodellega up against the cage.
Correia is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Correia keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rodellega's efforts to push away.

Correia escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Correia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Correia wants to clinch.
Rodellega is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Correia.
Correia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodellega paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Correia makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rodellega really felt that one!

Correia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Correia is looking to stall here but Rodellega recovers full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodellega can do anything to dispel that myth.

Correia looking to sit in guard and control but Rodellega gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Correia striking off his back but it's not causing Rodellega any problems.

Rodellega lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round but I would say that Bruno Floro will probably get the nod.
