The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopec cracks Boom with an open hand slap.
Kopec fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kopec shoots in looking for a takedown. Boom tries to sprawl out of it but Kopec keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kopec is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boom.
Boom thuds his right hand into Kopec's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kopec is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boom sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Bing Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guy Kopec.
Kopec throws out a loose jab but Boom uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kopec is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Guy Kopec seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kopec's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Boom leaves Kopec with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Boom lands a really nice looking cross but Kopec seems unphased.

Boom feints and then cracks Kopec's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kopec down.

Kopec shoots in for a takedown but Boom shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kopec takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Boom bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Boom throws a monster overhand right that drops Kopec! Boom follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

A jab and a right hook connect and Ware buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Ware!! Ware is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Clay throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
