Belhanda manages to get his head free but now Rowan has transitioned to an armbar! Belhanda grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Rowan! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Yanar throws a looping overhand right but Niles ducks down to avoid it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Niles has Yanar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Yanar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryce Niles. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Yanar dips a shoulder and cracks Niles with a mighty uppercut! Niles falls back against the cage and Yanar unloads with a barrage of strikes! Niles is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Yanar screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

In his post fight interview, Kendo Yanar started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coton rushes Bertane and presses him up against the cage.

Coton lands an elbow inside.
Bertane goes for a takedown attempt but Coton pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bertane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Coton as he jumps to the side.
Coton pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bertane shoots in for a takedown but Coton shows good takedown defense.
Jamie Coton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earl Bertane.
Bertane avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bertane shoots in for a double leg but Coton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bertane pivots, looking for a leg kick but Coton is out of range and Bertane settles back down.

Coton feints and then cracks Bertane's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bertane down.
Coton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Coton lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jamie Coton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bertane shoots for a double leg takedown but Coton sprawls well. He's pushed Bertane's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Coton throws the left hand but Bertane avoids the punch easily.

Coton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bertane tries to score a body lock takedown but Coton shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Bertane turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Coton is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bertane creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Coton sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Coton is looking to reverse the position.
Bertane throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Bertane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
You can see the frustration on Coton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Coton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bertane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Coton is working hard here to advance position.
Bertane wants to control but Coton is keeping him busy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Coton is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bertane is landing with some decent strikes but Coton is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Coton wants to hold on but Bertane pushes him away.
Bertane postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Coton looks a forlorn figure.
Coton is in a horrible position here. Bertane smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Earl Bertane will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bertane shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Coton is trying to defend but Bertane finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

It looks like Jamie Coton has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bertane postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Coton out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Bertane goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
