White comes into the arena with Hey Baby, Que Paso? blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Menezes controls the pace.

Silva lands a left and a right that send Spud crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Spud Spud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A shot to the liver by Silva. Beautiful body shot.
Spud shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Spud's corner calls for a 1-2. Spud obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Spud lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spud.
Spud rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Spud lands a jab to Silva's midsection.
Silva misses with a double jab.
Spud just misses with a punch to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Silva, as that shot connected.
