The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costas takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A lazy body kick from Costas
and Cascara counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cascara avoids the head kick by Costas.
Cascara looks to land a combination but Costas avoids it well.
Costas steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Cascara. That one must have hurt.

Cascara drives through and clinches with Costas against the cage.
Costas is looking for a takedown.
Cascara lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Costas has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cascara after a bit of a struggle.

Cascara is trying to trip Costas. He has hold of a leg but Costas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cascara persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Costas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Smack stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smack wants it to stay on the feet.

Hooker is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Smack moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
