The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ugh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ugh is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Ugh circles away and we're back to standing.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Ugh! Silva is out on his feet! Ugh rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Silva is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Silva is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Boans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leto II Atreides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Boans might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Round and Round by Ratt. Leto II Atreides has the eye of the tiger tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leto II Atreides!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atreides takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Leto II Atreides has been cut.

Atreides gets tackled into the cage by Boans. Boans maintains the clinch.

Atreides has picked Boans up - he's going for a ride! Atreides dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Atreides thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Boans's head.

Boans makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Boans shoots in and bounces Atreides off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Atreides working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boans doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boans manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Boans wants to get up but he can't break Atreides's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boans is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Atreides has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Boans throws a big right hand that misses.

Atreides isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Boans stacks Atreides on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Boans!
Boans scores with a couple of short elbows.
Atreides looks to move to half guard but instead Boans has passed into mount! Damn!
Boans looking to finish Atreides with some ground and pound. This is bad for Atreides!
Boans looking to control but Atreides is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
