The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Average misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Average feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fonzarelli shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Strykzilla but Strykzilla pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Simpson instigates a clinch.

Steiner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Simpson misses with a double jab.
Steiner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Simpson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Steiner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Simpson back to the cage. Steiner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Steiner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Steiner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Simpson wants to clinch up but Steiner keeps it at a distance.
Steiner throws a series of strikes that have Simpson backpedaling.

Steiner has closed the distance and engaged Simpson in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice body punch from Steiner - that landed with a thud.

Steiner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steiner lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Steiner darts in and clinches Simpson up against the cage.
Simpson digs a right hand into Steiner's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Steiner's gas tank.
Steiner digs a right hand underneath Simpson's ribcage. Simpson let out a lung full of air as it connected.

and Steiner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Steiner throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Simpson.

Steiner throws a right hand that Simpson ducks under and follows up with a left that Simpson also avoids with ease.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane shoots in for a takedown but Callahan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cane shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Callahan defends it nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Callahan misses the target.
Callahan stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quentin Cane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cane shoots in looking for a takedown. Callahan tries to sprawl out of it but Cane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Callahan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Callahan as he jumps to the side.

Callahan lands a big head kick that sends Cane tumbling to the mat! Callahan takes a step backwards and waves Cane back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Callahan counters with a right hand to the body.
Oh Cane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cane is breathing heavily.
Cane drops his hands for a split second and Callahan immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Cane face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Callahan follows up with a right hand that knocks Cane into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
