Undercard bout

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between clark McCahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and D J Rich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that clark McCahon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily clark McCahon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCahon scores with a jab.
McCahon tries to bum rush Rich with a series of wild strikes but Rich uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McCahon shoots in but no luck this time.

McCahon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rich can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McCahon controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCahon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

McCahon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rich is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Sarat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ultimate Warrior had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Ultimate Warrior looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Sarat changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Warrior tries to avoid it but Sarat manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Warrior to the ground. Warrior escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Warrior shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sarat's guard.

Sarat had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Warrior is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sarat Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Warrior's back instead.

Warrior is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sarat gets his way!

Orbit has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zero can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Orbit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zero doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zero manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Orbit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Grandmasion cracks James with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! James looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Grandmasion finish him?
Grandmasion connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent James tumbling to the canvas! Grandmasion pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! James was done - good stoppage!

Lukens working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Lukens thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lukens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lowich is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lowich tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lukens wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Lukens tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lukens trying to control the action but Lowich is working from the bottom.

Lukens tries to advance position but instead Lowich slips a leg back in to half guard.
Lukens works his way into side control.

Lukens wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lowich, who protects the arm well.
Lukens looks gassed!
Lowich tries to improve position but can't.

Lukens looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lowich is trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lukens tries for a kimura but Lowich is defending well.
Lukens trying to control the position but Lowich is working away.
Lowich is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lukens asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lukens closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lowich to the mat! Lowich manages to get full guard.
Lukens wants to control from the top but Lowich keeps moving.
Lukens slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Lukens is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lowich has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lukens has hold of Lowich's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lowich tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lukens cranks the arm and Lowich screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lowich, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
