The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mael goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stagliano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mael circles away quickly and effectively.
Mael throws a wild body kick that Stagliano sees coming a mile off.

Mael closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mael's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mael is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Stagliano looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mael gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Stagliano is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mael lets go of the hold and Stagliano can pop his arm back in it's socket.

That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

and Dunham counters with a one-two to the body.
Dunham connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Crax dodges the punch combination from Dunham.
Crax has a takedown stuffed.
Crax shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Crax changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dunham tries to avoid it but Crax manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dunham to the ground. Dunham escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Crax slips a jab and a cross from Dunham.
Some bone on bone action there as Crax checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Crax swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dunham looks to land a combination but Crax avoids it well.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Crax is working to tighten is grip on Dunham's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dunham has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Crax is really squeezing tight and eventually Dunham passes out! Crax breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
