The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davidson drives through and clinches with Hill against the cage.

Davidson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hill regains guard immediately.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill seems keen to control Davidson's posture.
Hill wants to sweep here but Davidson controlling him for the moment.
Davidson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hill swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hill feints and then cracks Davidson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Davidson down.

Hill fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Davidson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hill lands a leg kick that knocks Davidson off balance momentarily.

Hill lands a left and a right that send Davidson crashing to the mat, dazed. Hill thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
