 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richardson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Richardson has his takedown stuffed
and Lolololololol counters with a nice double leg into side control. Richardson won't be happy with that. Lolololololol landing a few strikes. Lolololololol working the head and body with strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lolololololol creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Richardson is looking for a sweep. Richardson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Lolololololol presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!  Richardson is rocked! Lolololololol postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Richardson out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Lolololololol goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guy closes the distance looking to clinch
and Thomason counters with a takedown into side control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Thomason decides to stand back up. Guy lands the left hand.
 It looks like Fred Thomason has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action!
Guy gets caught flat footed, as Thomason shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Guy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Guy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Guy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thomason defends it well.

Thomason knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Thomason is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Guy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Guy's back! Guy is in bad spot here.

Thomason is looking for the choke from the back position but Guy is controlling his hands well. Thomason throwing wild punches that miss their target.

Guy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Thomason is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Thomason has escaped and now he's on top! Guy controls Thomason momentarily but Thomason frees himself. Thomason loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Thomason really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thomason preventing the sweep.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thomason takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Guy keeping moving, preventing Thomason from controlling successfully. Thomason is looking to work some ground and pound but Guy has wrist control.
Thomason got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thomason has managed to get both his arms back between Guy's legs - danger averted.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Guy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Guy is looking for a sweep. Thomason is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Guy is trying to maintain the position but Thomason is very close to passing his half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Guy is looking to advance position but Thomason has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Guy regains half guard. Guy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Thomason throws a big right hand that misses.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Thomason is now in half guard. Thomason is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Guy is looking for a sweep. Thomason is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Guy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kongo misses with a takedown attempt - Ortiz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jorge Ortiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francis Kongo. Kongo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ortiz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kongo. Kongo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
