The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alves rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.

Santos dives in looking to finish as Garcia flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Santos's strikes! Santos is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Garcia's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Garcia was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Hamzah fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dutra looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dutra is breathing heavily.
Hamzah cracks Dutra's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Dutra slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Hamzah can do further damage! This one is done, son!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Japanese King.
