The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hynes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hynes shoots in looking for a takedown. Sol tries to sprawl out of it but Hynes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sol manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hynes misses with a takedown attempt - Sol sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sol has his takedown stuffed

and Hynes counters by moving into the clinch.
Sol is looking to take this one to the mat.

Hynes pulls guard effortlessly.
Sol stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hynes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hynes controls Sol momentarily but Sol frees himself.
Hynes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Sol passes Hynes's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Sol is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hynes is just riding it out for now. Sol eventually gives up the hold.
Sol wants to pass to mount but Hynes is defending the position.
Hynes throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Hynes is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hynes trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Sol manages to pass to mount!

Sol looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Sol is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hynes can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hynes has left one of his arms exposed and Sol doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Hynes screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ramirez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Oh Chan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ramirez cracks Chan with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Ramirez immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Chan is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Ramirez!

The Raptor tries to get to his feet but Bailey is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that The Raptor is in need of a savior and steps in!
