Goffard looks to land a right hand but Wang moved out of range.
Goffard looks to land a combination. Wang sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Wang cracks Goffard with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Wang has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Goffard to stand back up!

It looks like Nathan Goffard has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Goffard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Tom Kerr decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Subbotin back to the cage. Maxwell follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Vladimir Subbotin has been cut.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Maxwell! Subbotin is out on his feet! Maxwell rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Subbotin is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Subbotin is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ross Maxwell!
A relieved looking Ross Maxwell thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
