The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castro takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Castro looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hendricks! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hendricks is looking to get to half guard. Hendricks wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Hendricks manages to reverse the position and now he's in Castro's guard. Nice work there by Hendricks.
Hendricks passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hendricks tries for a kimura but Castro is defending well. Hendricks thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Marcondes is looking for a sweep. Valentinov scores with punches from side control. Valentinov working the ground and pound. Marcondes on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Valentinov grinds an elbow into Marcondes's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cadematori circles away from the clinch attempt and Cadematori counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cadematori. Cadematori stalling the fight.
Gomes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cadematori just stands there and leans against the cage. Cadematori keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gomes's efforts to push away. Gomes is trying to pull guard but Cadematori has him pressed against the cage. Cadematori's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cadematori fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gomes. Cadematori fails to land with a series of punches.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gomes shoots and misses and Cadematori counters with a left and a right that hurts Gomes! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Cadematori jumps into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barou is rocked! OH! Barou has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Grabowski smells blood and charges in for the finish! Grabowski unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Barou sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Relva scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Relva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pereira did well to prevent Relva getting side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Still in half guard, Relva seems content to control. Relva is thwarting Pereira's attempts to control the position. Relva not doing much here.
Relva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pereira for as long as he can get away with.

Dillon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice defenses there by Hulk.

Maestre Hulk's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Dillon connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Hulk tumbling to the canvas! Dillon pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Hulk was done - good stoppage!
