That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Somkane Kummanee.

Laurent lands a jab to Lei's midsection.
Lei fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Laurent makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Laurent counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lei thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chan Lei. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lei takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Lei feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lei postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Laurent is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lei, into his guard.

Lei manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Laurent on his heels. He'll look to pass Laurent's guard now, I'm sure.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Laurent can do anything to dispel that myth.

Laurent can't do much from the bottom here.

Lei thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Laurent tries to escape but Lei is in control.

Lei has hold of Laurent's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Laurent tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lei cranks the arm and Laurent screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Laurent, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
