The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean slips a jab and a cross from Vermeulen.
Vermeulen shoots in but no luck this time.
Dean feints and then cracks Vermeulen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vermeulen down.
Dean defending well as Vermeulen loads up on a big left hand.
Vermeulen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Vermeulen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dean avoids it really well and circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Dean ducks under a wild hook from Vermeulen.
Dean scores with the left hand. Vermeulen knows he should have avoided that one.

Dean drops Vermeulen with a beautiful combination! Vermeulen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Dean is looking for the KO!

Vermeulen is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vermeulen is aggressively charging in as Dean backs up avoiding any damage. Dean tosses out a jab and Vermeulen runs right into it face first! Vermeulen is out cold! Dean dropped down on all fours and is barking in Vermeulen's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oda fails with the takedown.
Oda shoots in and drives through. Durin sprawls well.
Durin with a nice cross.
Oda takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Durin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Oda shoots for a double leg takedown but Durin sprawls well. He's pushed Oda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Osulf Durin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nobunaga Oda.
Oda shoots for a takedown but Durin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Oda bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Check out the look on Oda's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oda has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Oda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Durin defends well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oda has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Oda there as he acknowledges the shot.

Oda tries to score a power double leg takedown but Durin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Oda somewhat.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Durin.
Osulf Durin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Oda.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oda has hold of Durin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Durin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Oda cranks the arm and Durin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Durin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Holmogorov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ba's waist but Ba gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holmogorov off to one side.

Holmogorov is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Ba just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Holmogorov has gone limp and this one is over!
