The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lagman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thanu did well to prevent Lagman getting side control.
Thanu scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lagman manages to mount him!
Thanu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lagman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lagman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Thanu's face.
Thanu really wants to buck Lagman off and get back to his feet.

Lagman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Thanu is surviving well by controlling Lagman's body position as best he can.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lagman is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Thanu is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Thanu flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Lagman anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Thanu and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Lagman slips an arm under Thanu chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Lagman has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Lagman is squeezing on Thanu like an anaconda would it's prey. Thanu fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Paloukos taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. The Bone Breaker doesn't care though - he's delighted!
