The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawk closes the distance and pushes Joint back into the cage.

Hawk works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Joint wants to sweep here but Hawk controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hawk looking to sit in guard and control but Joint gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Joint trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hawk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Joint controls from within his opponent's guard.

Hawk pushes a forearm under Joint's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Joint is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Alves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mizakota looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Alves thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Alves is working to tighten is grip on Mizakota's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mizakota has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Alves is really squeezing tight and eventually Mizakota passes out! Alves breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Super misses with a two punch combination.
Kokkalis scores with a spinning back kick!
Super takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Super is breathing heavily.
Good leg kick by Kokkalis there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kokkalis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Super.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kokkalis is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Super has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kokkalis.
Kokkalis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kokkalis connects with a crisp jab.
Kokkalis throws a leg kick which misses Super's front leg but catches the back leg as Super tries to avoid it.
No joy there for Kokkalis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Super doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kokkalis.
Kokkalis feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Super's calf.

A jab-cross combination lands for Kokkalis and sends Super crashing to the mat! Kokkalis follows him down to the mat - Super regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Dustin Super has been cut.
Kokkalis content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kokkalis working over Super with some ground and pound. Super looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Kokkalis moves into full mount! Super won't be happy about that!

Richmond misses with a combination
and Popovic counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Popovic throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Richmond stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Popovic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Richmond moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Richmond lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Richmond lands a nice hook to Popovic's body. Popovic takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Popovic scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Richmond on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Popovic lands a head shot.

It looks like James Richmond has been cut.
Richmond takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Richmond misses with a few strikes there.
Richmond misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Richmond looks gassed!
Richmond takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Popovic scores with a jab to the body.

Popovic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Richmond.
Popovic fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Richmond uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Popovic.
Richmond gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Richmond tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Popovic is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Richmond buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Richmond!! Richmond is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Popovic throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
