The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jim misses with a combination
and Triplett counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Triplett should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Triplett tries to clinch but Jim moves away

and Jim counters with a crisp one two that drops Triplett! Jim thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Triplett to his feet! Triplett is in big trouble!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jim ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jim throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Triplett.
Jim changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Triplett is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Jim just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Triplett has gone limp and this one is over!

Well Mink has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Sonninen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Andrea sprawls well. Andrea wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sonninen gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Andrea cracks Sonninen with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sonninen tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Andrea pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sonninen is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
