7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Madd! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Rua with that takedown attempt. Rua shoots in looking for a takedown. Madd tries to sprawl out of it but Rua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Madd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Madd tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Madd to the ground. Madd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wanderlei Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Madd shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rua is trying to defend but Madd finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Madd scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rua to see if he's OK. Madd misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Madd creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rua sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Madd has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rua is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Madd yanks on the arm and Rua is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Madd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Battery fails in his attempt to clinch. Battery tries to clinch up. Battery takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Zhongjing tries to bum rush Battery with a series of wild strikes but Battery uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Maximus Battery seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zhongjing misses with a jab, cross combination.

Stoner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McCarthy moves away. Stoner is looking to clinch. McCarthy blocks a jab. McCarthy throws a jab when Stoner was well out of range. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice jab there from Motta. Greyven tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Motta is able to avoid easily. Motta scores with a jab. Greyven acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Greyven pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Motta connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A telegraphed right hand from Motta misses the target. Greyven misses with a low kick. Roger Motta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Motta smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Motta throws a series of punches but Greyven avoids them all with ease. Greyven throws a chopping leg kick but Motta manages to avoid taking any serious damage. It looks like Roger Motta has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
