Dexter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burton is staying active underneath Dexter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dexter is nestled in close to Burton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A jab and a right hook connect and Carween buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Carween!! Carween is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Vlad throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
