Masters comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Oxxymiron - East Mordor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Geoff Strangle has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Geoff Strangle seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soloman gets the takedown into side control.
DeLuca looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Soloman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused DeLuca some visible discomfort.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Soloman tries to free his leg and advance position but DeLuca is retaining full guard.
Soloman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Soloman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Soloman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Soloman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down DeLuca for as long as he can get away with.
James Soloman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Soloman has hold of DeLuca's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and DeLuca manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
