The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis lands a nice shot to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Richie.
Davis leaves Richie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Davis closes the distance and pushes Richie back into the cage.

Davis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Richie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Richie somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jobson Richie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Richie gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Davis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Randy has chosen Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Rocco shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rocco shoots for a double leg takedown but Randy sprawls well. He's pushed Rocco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Randy drops Rocco with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rocco looks back up at him and smiles so Randy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Randy cracks Rocco with a left hook right on the temple and Rocco goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Randy lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Rocco is OK!

Frnas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Frnas drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pereira looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pereira looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pereira!

Maeda slips an arm under Chuteboxe chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Maeda has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Maeda is squeezing on Chuteboxe like an anaconda would it's prey. Chuteboxe fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
