1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julio Juarez! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A kick lands to the mid section there for Juarez. Rocco throws an overhand right that lands on Juarez's shoulder, as Juarez tries to avoid the shot. Rocco on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Juarez throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rocco's head. Juarez looks to throw the jab but Rocco is out of range. Juarez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rocco finds it's way round the side to connect with Juarez's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Juarez shoots in for a takedown but Rocco shows good takedown defense. Juarez throws a head kick that misses. Rocco closes the distance and clinches. Juarez pulls guard. Juarez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rocco doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Juarez is tightening it up a little... Rocco has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rocco reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rocco taps out! Nice BJJ there by Juarez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Julio Juarez! A less than humble Julio Juarez misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bones misses with a low kick. Bones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sobrawl ducks under a wild hook from Bones. Sobrawl shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Sobrawl prevents Bones from improving his position. Sobrawl is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bones is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Tank. Those never looked like landing. Tank throws an overhand right that lands on Fullgraf's shoulder, as Fullgraf tries to avoid the shot. Tank swings for the body but Fullgraf moves out of range.
Tank thows a left - swing and a miss! Fullgraf has his takedown stuffed and Tank counters with a takedown into side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Sloppy strikes there by Tank. Tank is putting a hurting on Fullgraf here, landing some big shots from side control. The ground and pound from Tank seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tank lands an elbow. Fullgraf tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Tank landing strikes from the mount.
It looks like Arthur Fullgraf has been cut. Tank with shots to the head and body - Fullgraf looks very uncomfortable down there. Tank with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Tank. Fullgraf really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Fullgraf tries to hold on but Tank postures up. Fullgraf taking shots to the head.
Arthur Fullgraf's cut is getting worse. Fullgraf is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big strike lands for Tank! That's really hurt Fullgraf and he's turned his back - Tank keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Tank jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

A very excited looking War Tank made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gold has his takedown stuffed and Michaels decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gold's guard. Gold tries to strike from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gold tries to land a sweep but no joy. Michaels throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gold works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gold working a defensive guard here.
Michaels throws a strike but Gold rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Gold trying to control but Michaels is working from the bottom. Gold stays in close to Michaels's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gold stopping the sweep attempt from Michaels. Michaels is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gold slips nicely into half guard. Michaels controlling the position well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gold blocks the strikes from Michaels.
Michaels is doing well to control the position and prevent Gold from advancing to side control. Michaels wants to get back to full guard. Gold wants to control but Michaels is keeping him busy.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Rich Gold wasn't doing enough on the ground. Michaels stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Michaels wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Gold really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Michaels dodges the punch combination from Gold.
Michaels connects with a leg kick. Gold looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Gold tries for a takedown but Michaels circles away easily and Michaels counters with an outside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rich Gold. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gold is breathing heavily. Michaels throws out a leg kick but Gold moves out of range and Michaels only half commits. Rich Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Michaels throws the kick towards the body but Gold avoids it. Michaels shoots in and gets a takedown into Gold's guard. Gold throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Michaels is in close to Gold's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Michaels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Michaels lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Michaels landing with the ground and pound. Michaels stands up over Gold, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Michaels controlling from the top position. Michaels must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darien Michaels dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Michaels tries to land a front kick but Gold steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Gold throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Michaels throws a low kick, looking for Gold's leg but Gold calmly moves out of range. Gold tries to bum rush Michaels with a series of wild strikes but Michaels uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gold clinches up against the cage. Gold is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Michaels is defending well. Gold is defending well against a takedown attempt. Gold wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gold keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Michaels's efforts to push away. Michaels taking a breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels is pushing Gold up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Gold keeps control of Michaels as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Michaels can't find room to land a body shot as Gold controls the action.
Gold manages to break the clinch.
Gold tries to sprawl but Michaels drives through with a takedown into half guard. Michaels trying to control the action but Gold is working from the bottom. Michaels takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Michaels lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Michaels winds up and cracks Gold with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Gold wants to control but Michaels is keeping busy.
Gold is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Michaels scores with a couple of nice shots. Michaels misses with a head shot. Gold uses the momentum to regain guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Michaels thows a big elbow that misses. Michaels controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Michaels scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels trying to control but Gold is working from the bottom. Michaels controlling from the top position. Michaels lands a couple of digs. Michaels is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Michaels lying in Gold's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Gold decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Michaels taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Aloisis could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Aloisis is retaining full guard. Jackson gets to his feet. Aloisis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Aloisis misses with a head kick.
Aloisis with a poor takedown and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Aloisis didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Aloisis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Jackson advances position into side control! Jackson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Aloisis is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saint Pierre fails with a takedown attempt. Saint Pierre has his takedown stuffed and Pra Um counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pra Um not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Saint Pierre wants to control but Pra Um is keeping busy.
Ground and pound from Pra Um. Pra Um thows a huge punch but Saint Pierre dodges it nicely.
Pra Um looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Saint Pierre with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Saint Pierre keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pra Um thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pra Um maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Saint Pierre could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Pra Um has cracked it and Saint Pierre is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Pra Um!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hibiki moves into range and clinches up with Randy. Randy wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hibiki has Randy pressed against the cage, preventing Randy from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Randy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Randy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Randy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Randy tries to circle away but Hibiki has him pinned against the cage. Hibiki tries to pull guard but Randy holds him up against the cage and eventually Hibiki drops back down to his feet.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Hibiki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Randy gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Randy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randy misses with an uppercut. Hibiki throws a nice looking combination but Randy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice takedown defense from Randy. No joy for Hibiki on that attempt. Paulo Randy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryoga Hibiki. Randy scores with a shot to the body.
Hibiki fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Randy avoids it really well and circles away. Hibiki throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Randy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hibiki at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hibiki drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hibiki stands up from Randy's guard - Hibiki perhaps looking for a knockout. Randy lands with a shot to the body. Hibiki closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Randy is trying to break the clinch but Hibiki is controlling him. Hibiki keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Randy's efforts to push away. Randy is trying to break free. Hibiki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hibiki shoots in looking for a takedown. Randy tries to sprawl out of it but Hibiki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Randy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Randy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hibiki. Randy scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Randy throws a series of punches but Hibiki avoids them all with ease. Donk. Randy catches Hibiki right on the button with a cross. Randy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hibiki looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Randy digs a good body shot into Hibiki's ribs. Hibiki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hibiki dives in and grabs Randy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Randy pushes down on Hibiki's head and hops out. Hibiki looks gassed! Hibiki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Randy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hibiki tries to clinch but Randy moves out of range. Nice body punch from Randy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Randy scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Randy darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hibiki is rocked! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Randy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hibiki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hibiki is still on wobbly legs! Can Randy finish him? Hibiki walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Randy swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Paulo Randy! Paulo Randy decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Karelin tries for a takedown but Skarbowsky circles away easily and Skarbowsky counters with a slapping leg kick. Skarbowsky gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Karelin to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Karelin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Skarbowsky keeping full guard, as Karelin tries to pass. Skarbowsky working a defensive guard here.
Jean Charles Skarbowsky has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Skarbowsky moves into the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Skarbowsky lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Alexander Karelin has been cut. Karelin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Skarbowsky clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Karelin connects with a big shot to the side of Skarbowsky's head.
Skarbowsky trying to control the position but Karelin manages to sink in the hooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelin is cranking Skarbowsky's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Skarbowsky! He's tightened the choke and Skarbowsky is tapping out!
