The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Benn. That snapped Hopper's head back.
Benn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hopper sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Benn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hopper was well out of range. Poor timing from Benn.

Hopper bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Benn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Hopper wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Benn, who protects the arm well.

Hopper working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Benn struggling a bit here.
Benn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hopper kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Benn tries to bench press Hopper off him but Hopper keeps the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hopper is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Benn has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Benn is trying to control Hopper's posture but Hopper avoids it.

Benn is not content to let Hopper control the position.

Hopper working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Benn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hopper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hopper thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hopper looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Benn is looking for a sweep.
Benn can't do much from the bottom here.

Hopper is working to tighten is grip on Benn's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Benn has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hopper is really squeezing tight and eventually Benn passes out! Hopper breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oswald tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lynix feints a jab promting Oswald to slip. Lynix then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Oswald slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Justin Oswald has been cut.
Oswald lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lynix's sensitive parts.
Oswald fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lynix.
Oswald doesn't manage to clinch there - Lynix circles away.
Lynix throws a hook but Oswald avoids it easily.
Lynix missing with a left hand there. Oswald was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lynix misses with a looping right.
Lynix looks to land a combination but Oswald avoids it well.

Lynix clobbers Oswald with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lynix looks to land a combination. Oswald sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Lynix bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Oswald's head backwards.
Lynix just misses with a punch to the body.

Oswald closes the distance and clinches.
Lynix avoiding damage as Oswald throws knees to the body.
Oswald tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lynix avoids it.
Lynix is trying to break the clinch but Oswald has him pressed against the ropes.
Lynix blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Oswald's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lynix goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lynix is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oswald.
Lynix thows a body shot but no joy.
Oswald throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lynix bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

That has opened up Justin Oswald's cut even more.

Oswald closes the distance and pushes Lynix back into the ropes.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Oswald just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lynix's brow.

Oswald keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lynix's efforts to push away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oswald is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lynix is defending well for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Lars Lynix will probably get the nod.

Oswald wants to slow Lynix down by chopping away at his legs.
Oswald looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lynix scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Oswald doesn't seem bothered though.

Oswald uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lynix.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lynix postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Oswald is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lynix, into his guard.
Oswald throws an elbow that misses. Lynix uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Oswald's guard. Nice move by Lynix!
Lynix slips nicely into half guard.
Oswald seems to have recovered his senses.
Oswald has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Oswald is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lynix pulls his head out easily.

Oswald is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lynix looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lynix is working for a kimura but Oswald is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lynix is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Oswald is just riding it out for now. Lynix eventually gives up the hold.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Oswald tries to clinch but Lynix is having none of it.
Lynix connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Oswald momentarily.
Lynix throws a lazy right hand but Oswald sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lynix misses with a hook. Oswald ducked under it nicely.
Lynix is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Lynix moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Justin Oswald's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Oswald takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Lynix misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Good leg kick by Oswald there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Peterson lands a head kick. Watkins smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Billy Watkins has been cut.
Peterson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Peterson counters with a slapping leg kick.
Watkins is breathing heavily.
Peterson keeps the fight on the outside.
Watkins shoots in looking for a takedown but Peterson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Watkins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Watkins shoots for a double leg takedown but Peterson sprawls well. He's pushed Watkins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Watkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Peterson shoots in and bounces Watkins off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Watkins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Peterson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Peterson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Peterson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Watkins is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Peterson yanks on the arm and Watkins is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Peterson.

Burns has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fofo regains guard immediately.
Fofo has momentary wrist control but Burns slips an elbow through the middle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fofo trying to keep a closed guard but Burns is proving a slippery customer.
Fofo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burns is in close to Fofo's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Burns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Burns lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Fofo tries to circle away but Burns has him pinned against the ropes.
Burns jerks Fofo's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Fofo drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Burns goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Burns because Fofo was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Steel tries a head kick but it misses.
Owen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steel as he avoids it easily.

Owen throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Steel to regain full guard.

Owen wants to free his trapped foot but Steel is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Owen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Owen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Steel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Owen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Steel sprawls well. Steel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Owen gets slowly back to his feet.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Murdock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Murdock's legs - danger averted.
