The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor takes a swing at Rodriguez's ribcage but misses.
Rodriguez shoots in but Connor avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rodriguez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Connor throws a push kick but Rodriguez slaps the foot to one side.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Connor decides to stand back up. Connor steps back and let's Rodriguez get back to his feet.

Rodriguez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Connor wants to stand but Rodriguez is controlling his posture from full guard.

Rodriguez is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Connor frees his head nicely. Oh but Rodriguez has switched to an armbar! Connor is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Yourface stalks Killer and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Killer's face. Killer staggers backwards, shaken.

Yourface throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Killer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Killer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yourface tries to avoid it but Killer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yourface to the ground. Yourface escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
