The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paned decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Paned really is a fat lump.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Spider wants to control but Paned is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Paned working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Spider is trying to control but can't.
Spider throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Paned throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Paned perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

McQueen throws a series of punches but Paneda avoids them all with ease.

Paneda shoots in looking for a takedown. McQueen tries to sprawl out of it but Paneda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McQueen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McQueen weaves into range and cracks Paneda right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Paneda goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! McQueen is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Hickey shoots for a double leg takedown but King sprawls well. He's pushed Hickey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
King throws a right and a left that Hickey avoids nicely.

Hickey gets tackled into the cage by King. King maintains the clinch.
King wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hickey keeps control of King as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King connects with a nice cross there... Hickey is looking wobbly and King recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Hickey to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - King jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barbaro feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Balboa sprawling to the canvas! Balboa rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Barbaro finish him?!

It looks like Lito Balboa has been cut.
Balboa walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Barbaro swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
