The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chinner fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Alonso to the ground. Chinner is now in Alonso's guard.

Chinner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alonso looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alonso looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alonso!
Alonso moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Alonso tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Alonso swings around for an armbar but Chinner sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Alonso's guard.

Chinner drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alonso manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chinner has Alonso in his guard.
