The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andoh misses with a combination
and Gambacorto counters with a left to the body. Gambacorto connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Andoh's hands. Andoh throws an overhand right that lands on Gambacorto's shoulder, as Gambacorto tries to avoid the shot. Gambacorto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gambacorto checks a low kick from Andoh. Gambacorto swinging wildly here.

Escobar might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Funete shoots in looking for a takedown but Anderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Funete's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Funete has his takedown stuffed and Anderson counters with a head kick. Funete checks a leg kick nicely. Anderson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Anderson takes the fight into the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Anderson. Anderson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Funete has Anderson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Anderson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dantae Funete. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Anderson is trying to trip Funete. He has hold of a leg but Funete is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Anderson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Anderson wants to control from the top but Funete keeps moving.

Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Funete swivels though and keeps the full guard. Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Funete. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Funete throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Funete is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Anderson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Anderson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Anderson lands a nice forearm strike.

Funete tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Anderson lands a decent elbow from side control. Funete is looking to reverse the position. Anderson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Anderson tries to advance to mount but Funete denies him. Funete is trying to get back to half guard.

Anderson throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Funete works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Funete is looking for a sweep. Anderson closes the distance and clinches. Apollo Anderson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Gracie is breathing heavily. Summers connects with an inside leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Summers. Summers tries a head kick but it misses.

Tatsuya misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Wong falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Tatsuya smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson working for a triangle but Long defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Johnson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Johnson has Long pulled in close to control his posture. Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Long is one step ahead there. Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Long defends well. David Long has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Anthony Johnson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Johnson wants to sweep here but Long controlling him for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Long from controlling successfully. Johnson pulls Long in close to his closed guard and prevents Long from doing any damage or advancing position.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Morgan Punch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fook yu! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Punch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
yu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Punch looks to land a combination. yu sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
yu is rocked! Punch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but yu circles away quickly and effectively. Punch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
yu scores with a one two! Punch had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Punch works over yu's head and body with a nice combination. yu is still on wobbly legs! Can Punch finish him? Punch moves in looking to clinch but yu pushes him off. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Punch lands a nice shot to the body.
Punch drops yu with a straight right hand, right on the button! Punch follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Morgan Punch! Morgan Punch very nearly forgot to thank 1337 ANZAC amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.

Hanks is pushing Oiky up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Oiky is trying to break free. Hanks can't find room to land a body shot as Oiky controls the action.
