The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reipas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gohan but Gohan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Reipas with a poor takedown
and Reipas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Reipas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gohan's waist but Gohan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reipas off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Riku Reipas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed right hand from Gohan misses the target.
Gohan slaps away a takedown attempt from Reipas, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Reipas drives through with a takedown into guard.
Reipas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gohan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Reipas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Reipas prevents Gohan from getting back to his feet.

Reipas is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gohan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gohan has escaped and now he's on top!

Gohan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reipas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gohan has managed to get both his arms back between Reipas's legs - danger averted.

Reipas is looking to sinch up a triangle. Gohan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Reipas's body to avoid the submission. Reipas has instead reached around Gohan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Reipas arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Puukko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hansen moves in looking to clinch but Puukko pushes him off.
