The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Shots bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.
Shots controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shots manages to get himself to full guard.
Shots wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shots working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head.

Shots tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shots is controlling him.
Shots passes easily into side control. Nice work.
An elbow from Shots crashes against the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jones has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Jones feints and then cracks Shots's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shots down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Speed paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Speed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silvia throws a big shot that misses.
Silvia tries to clinch but Speed moves away
and Speed counters with a thumping low kick.
Speed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Silvia throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Speed was covering up waiting for the punch and Silvia finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Speed is looking for a triangle but Silvia pushes his legs off easily.

Silvia has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Speed to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Silvia is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Speed pulls down on the head and he's put Silvia to sleep! This one is all over!
