The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamond feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Diamond wants to stand but Paloukos is controlling his posture from full guard.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Przemyslaw Mysiala was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Washington has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dane to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Washington is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dane pulls down on the head and he's put Washington to sleep! This one is all over!
