Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwight K Schrute!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Thomas throws a nice head kick!
K Schrute takes a head kick and keeps coming.
K Schrute tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thomas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten K Schrute somewhat.
K Schrute shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thomas pinned against the cage. Thomas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
K Schrute gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dwight K Schrute seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thomas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with K Schrute, pushing him back against the cage.
K Schrute is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwight K Schrute. That's going to take a lot out of him.
K Schrute takes an elbow to the forehead.
Thomas slowing the pace effectively.
K Schrute tries for a takedown but Thomas manages to get underhooks.
The referee is keeping an eye on Thomas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Thomas lands an elbow inside.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Thomas.

K Schrute is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Thomas gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

K Schrute jumps guard but Thomas stands there with K Schrute around his waist. K Schrute gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Max Thomas.
Thomas connects with a leg kick. K Schrute looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
K Schrute shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Thomas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from K Schrute.
A slapping body kick lands there for Thomas.
K Schrute is breathing heavily.

K Schrute is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thomas and K Schrute are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Thomas throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking K Schrute into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Thomas knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durant moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Durant.
Durant lands a jab to the head.
Durant tries a head kick but it misses.
Durant lands a jab to Stevenson's midsection.
Durant lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Josh Stevenson has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Durant throws a good cross that connects.
Durant closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Durant catches Stevenson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Stevenson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Stevenson tries to bum rush Durant with a series of wild strikes but Durant uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Durant connects with an inside leg kick.
Stevenson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Stevenson cracks Durant with an open hand slap.
Durant fails to land with a series of punches.
Durant throws a head kick that half lands.
Durant changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Durant throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stevenson's head.

Stevenson is rocked!

Josh Stevenson's cut is getting worse.
Stevenson is breathing heavily.
Durant moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Oh Stevenson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice cross by Durant.
Durant dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stevenson. That did some damage!
Durant scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Stevenson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stevenson throws a right and a left that Durant avoids nicely.

Dada is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Demon looks calm but he's in trouble here. Dada gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Demon is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Dada lets go of the hold and Demon can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Wilkins tries to close the distance and clinch but Nice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wilkins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nice has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Wilkins closes the distance and pushes Nice back into the cage.

Wilkins wants the takedown. Nice is fighting it off but Wilkins persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nice's guard against the cage.

Nice is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nice seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wilkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wilkins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nice is working away from the top position though.
Wilkins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wilkins.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wilkins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nice is one step ahead there.

Nice is posturing up here but Wilkins has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Nice tries to roll out but it's too tight and Nice has to tap! Slick submission there by Wilkins!
