The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meed shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sullivan as he avoids it easily. Sullivan misses with a wild body shot. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Sullivan looks for a takedown but Meed sprawls well. Meed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sullivan. Meed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sullivan pinned against the cage. Sullivan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sullivan throws out a loose jab but Meed uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan throws a right hand that Meed ducks under and follows up with a left that Meed also avoids with ease. Sullivan has a takedown stuffed. 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Duke Gibbons! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quantock on the wrong end of a nice jab. Quantock dodges the punch combination from Gibbons.
Quantock shoots for a double leg takedown but Gibbons sprawls well. He's pushed Quantock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gibbons misses with a body shot.
Quantock defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gibbons. Quantock drives through with a takedown into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Quantock stopping the sweep attempt from Gibbons. Quantock trying to control the position from guard on top but Gibbons is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gibbons keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Quantock is keen to just control but Gibbons is a slippery customer. Quantock looking to sit in guard and control but Gibbons gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gibbons is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Quantock is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Quantock has escaped and now he's on top! Quantock stops Gibbons from standing up. Gibbons throws his legs up looking for a submission but Quantock uses it to pass to side control.

Gibbons is trying to control Quantock's posture but Quantock avoids it. Quantock thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Winter throws a body punch but Anubis moves out of range. Winter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Winter stuffs the takedown attempt from Anubis. Anubis gets slowly back to his feet. Winter lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Winter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Anubis. Winter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Winter throws an overhand right that lands on Anubis's shoulder, as Anubis tries to avoid the shot. Anubis shoots in looking for a takedown. Winter tries to sprawl out of it but Anubis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Winter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Winter. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Anubis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Anubis there as he acknowledges the shot.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice sprawl there from Winter as Anubis shoots in. Anubis slips under a jab. Anubis defending well as Winter loads up on a big left hand.

Winter scores with a hook to the body. Anubis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Winter dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Winter connects with a body shot that sends Anubis's belly button to the back. Winter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anubis circles away quickly and effectively. Anubis tries to move into range but Winter moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Winter's jab looks to have found its range, popping Anubis under the eye. Winter lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Winter jabs Anubis right on the nose. Anubis blinks but takes it well.

Jeez, Hamid Anubis's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winter drops Anubis with a big left hand! Anubis is injured, injured bad! Winter jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom McGettigan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yin Tao! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Tao.
McGettigan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGettigan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. McGettigan thows a leg kick but Tao checks it and Tao counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Yin Tao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tao uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGettigan. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tao.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGettigan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tao. Jab from Tao. A decent looking body kick lands there for Tao. McGettigan is breathing heavily. Tao lands with a nice body kick. Tao bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Tao connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McGettigan momentarily.
Tao scores with a nice strike. McGettigan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body kick from Tao. McGettigan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tao can pounce on him.
Tao stuns McGettigan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A slapping leg kick lands for Tao.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Tao! McGettigan is out on his feet! Tao rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - McGettigan is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! McGettigan is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
