Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Mitchell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taichi Shiraoka! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Shiraoka misses. Good exchange - Mitchell coming out on top.
 It looks like Taichi Shiraoka has been cut. The fight stays on the outside here - Mitchell looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mitchell lands a nice hook to Shiraoka's body. Shiraoka takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Shiraoka tries to clinch up
and Mitchell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Shiraoka's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mitchell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shiraoka works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mitchell looking to sit in guard and control but Shiraoka gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Shiraoka stops Mitchell from standing up.
Mitchell kicks Shiraoka off and gets to his feet.

Mitchell moves into range and clinches up with Shiraoka. Mitchell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Shiraoka avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Shiraoka looking to stall.

Shiraoka tries to circle away but Mitchell has him pinned against the cage. Mitchell lands with a left to the head. Shiraoka tries to land knees in the clinch but Mitchell avoids the damage to the body. Shiraoka avoids the elbow strike from Mitchell, against the cage.

Mitchell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mitchell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Mitchell wants to stand up but Shiraoka is controlling him. Shiraoka trying to control the position from guard on top but Mitchell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mitchell is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shiraoka is controlling him. Mitchell trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Shiraoka wanted to stand there but Mitchell had control of the position. Shiraoka wants to control from the top but Mitchell keeps moving.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Shiraoka has a takedown stuffed.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiraoka throws a lazy head kick and Mitchell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Mitchell misses with a double jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mitchell.
Shiraoka throws a predictable looking body shot
and Mitchell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mitchell is defended easily by Shiraoka. Mitchell throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Shiraoka looks gassed! Shiraoka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mitchell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mitchell fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Mitchell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shiraoka closes the distance but Mitchell moves to the side letting Mitchell counter with a right hand. A head kick misses from Shiraoka. Shiraoka thows a body kick. Mitchell tries to catch it but that hurt him. Shiraoka throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mitchell avoids the head kick by Shiraoka.
Mitchell takes the fight into the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Mitchell has Shiraoka pressed against the cage.
Mitchell pushes Shiraoka back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Shiraoka tries to circle away but Mitchell has him pinned against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Mitchell.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mitchell creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Mitchell lands a body punch. Mitchell keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shiraoka's efforts to push away. Shiraoka misses with a knee strike.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mitchell takes an elbow to the temple. Shiraoka crunches a lovely knee into Mitchell's ribcage. Mitchell tries to break the clinch but Shiraoka is controlling the position. Shiraoka trying to land knees to the body.
Mitchell pulls Shiraoka into guard.
Mitchell wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Shiraoka manages to pass to side control. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Mitchell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Taichi Shiraoka's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mitchell throws a series of punches but Shiraoka moves out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Shiraoka looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shiraoka lands with a slapping head kick. Mitchell throws a sloppy head kick
and Shiraoka counters with a head kick that drops Mitchell to the mat! Mitchell scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
 Mitchell is rocked! Mitchell throws a combination that misses and Shiraoka counters with a monster head kick that knocks Mitchell out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazuya misses with a low kick as Parker jumps back. Kazuya fails to land with a series of punches.

Kazuya manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kazuya is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jose Ricardo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ricardo keeps the fight on the outside. Mahitato tries to clinch but Ricardo is having none of it. Mahitato pulls out of a head kick attempt.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ricardo trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mahitato tries to hold on but Ricardo pushes him away. Ricardo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mahitato looks a forlorn figure.
Ricardo has control of Mahitato's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mahitato regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee warns Mahitato that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mahitato tries to reverse the position but Ricardo maintains control. Ricardo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mahitato tries to reverse the position but Ricardo maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ricardo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Jose Ricardo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mahitato ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Mahitato throws a head kick that misses. Mahitato tries to clinch but Ricardo moves out of range. Ricardo swats away the attempt to clinch by Mahitato.

Mahitato's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ricardo is trying to break the clinch but Mahitato is controlling him. Mahitato tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ricardo smiles and moves away.
Mahitato looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ricardo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Ricardo looking to control but Mahitato is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mahitato is trying desperately to improve position. Ricardo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ricardo controlling from the full mount. Ricardo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mahitato is looking to escape. Ricardo controlling his opponent.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ricardo landing punches. Ricardo putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Ricardo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mahitato has worked his arm free - good work by Mahitato!
Jose Ricardo has got the better of the ground game so far. Ricardo trying to control the action but Mahitato is working from the bottom. Mahitato regains half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ricardo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ricardo lands with a punch from half guard. Ricardo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mahitato does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mahitato regains full guard. Nicely done. Ricardo trying to control but Mahitato is working from the bottom.
Ricardo gets to his feet - Mahitato follows without any prompting. Horrible takedown by Ricardo or perhaps it was just good defense by Mahitato which made him look bad. Mahitato tries to clinch but Ricardo is having none of it. Mahitato takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Ricardo shoots in for a double leg but Mahitato sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ricardo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ricardo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ricardo looking to finish Mahitato with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mahitato!
Ricardo looking for a guillotine from mount but Mahitato is having none of it. Ricardo looking to control but Mahitato is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ricardo working away from the top, dropping strikes. Ricardo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mahitato because Ricardo loaded up on that one. Mahitato manages to regain half guard. Good work.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jose Ricardo. I think Ricardo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bear engages and cracks Henderson with a massive lead left hook - Henderson tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Bear is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
