The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Armstrong moves into the clinch.
Armstrong looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bell goes for a takedown attempt but Armstrong pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Bell instigates a clinch.
Armstrong blocks an uppercut.
Bell is trying to drag Armstrong to the mat but Armstrong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Armstrong walks away with a smile on his face. Bell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Bell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nunes feints and as Oswald raises his hands in defense, Nunes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nunes wants to control from the top but Oswald keeps moving.

Oswald manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Nunes doesn't manage to clinch there - Oswald circles away.

Oswald shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Oswald throws a series of strikes that have Nunes backpedaling.

It looks like Bruno Nunes has been cut.

Oswald lands a left and a right that send Nunes crashing to the mat, dazed. Oswald thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oswald feints a jab and as Nunes dips his head, Oswald unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Nunes right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Nunes falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Oswald smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Del Soto gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Del Soto apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miles DAvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sal Zork (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DAvis comes into the arena with Miles DAvis - someday my prince will come blaring out of the sound system. Zork has chosen Rise Against - Behind Closed Doors as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

DAvis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zork is just riding it out for now. DAvis eventually gives up the hold.
DAvis is taking a breather. Zork says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

DAvis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zork was covering up waiting for the punch and DAvis finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Horrible takedown by DAvis or perhaps it was just good defense by Zork which made him look bad.

Zork tries to close the distance and clinch but DAvis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

DAvis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zork moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

DAvis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zork sprawls well initially but DAvis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Zork is trying to maintain the position but DAvis is very close to passing his half guard.

DAvis is stalling in the full guard.

DAvis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DAvis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
