The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irwin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Irwin throws the left hand but Costela avoids the punch easily.
Good exchange - Irwin coming out on top.
Costela throws a series of punches but Irwin avoids them all with ease.

Irwin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Costela quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
